This course must be completed before applying for your license.
You will need to submit an application with a picture (the testing center will provide this upon successful completion of the Tennessee Affiliate Broker Licensing Exam) to the Tennessee Real Estate Commission. Along with the application and picture, you must include the following:
- Proof of completion of your pre-license education (including new affiliate course)
- Proof of high school graduation
- Proof of errors and omissions insurance coverage
- Payment of all fees
How do you choose the right broker?
Brokers are not one-size-fits-all, which is why it’s important to do your research before choosing the brokerage that is right for you. Remember that you represent the broker that you choose, but they also represent you. You can start by asking these questions and decide if it aligns with what is the most important to you.
- What is their reputation - locally and nationally?
- What kind of agents are they looking for?
- Are they up-to-date technologically?
- How do they support their agents with the education and training they provide?
- What kind of commission and benefits do they offer?
- Do they provide agents with leads and marketing materials?
